PM Modi congratulated the people of Makar Sankranti and Pongal, Bhagwat worshiped in the temple

Several types of festivals are being celebrated in India from north to south including Makar Sankranti, Pongal today. Jallikattu is also scheduled to be held there. Many political events are also to be held between the festivals which will leave their mark in future elections. For this reason, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi, BJP President JP Nadda and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat will be part of the program organized on the occasion of the festival. Apart from this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has greeted the countrymen on Makar Sankranti and Pongal.
Wishing the people of Makar Sankranti, Prime Minister Modi wrote, ‘Many congratulations to the countrymen on Makar Sankranti. My wish is that Uttarayan Suryadev will infuse new energy and new enthusiasm in everyone’s life. Happy Makar Sankranti to all.
While congratulating Pongal, the Prime Minister wrote, ‘Congratulations to Pongal to all, especially my Tamil sisters and brothers. This festival showcases the best of Tamil culture. May we be blessed with good health and success. This festival also inspires us to live in harmony with nature and carry forward the feeling of compassion. ‘

In this series, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat is in Tamil Nadu. They have arrived here to participate in the celebration of the Pongal festival. He offered obeisance at the Sri Kadumbadi Chinnaman temple at Ponniamanmedu, Chennai, and attended the celebrations of Pongal.
