Shift in Attack Strategy After Module Bust
Investigators believe the suspect initially intended to detonate explosives but changed plans after learning that a terror module in Faridabad had been dismantled. The suspect allegedly decided on a fidayeen-style approach to cause maximum casualties and avoid being caught by the police.
Exploration of Alternate Targets
Authorities are also examining whether the real target was different, as the car linked to the explosion was seen moving slowly near the site. All possible leads and connections are being investigated.
Link to Earlier Recovery of Explosives
Just a day before the incident, a joint operation by Jammu and Kashmir Police and Haryana Police led to the seizure of around 360 kilograms of explosives and ammunition from Faridabad. Two individuals, identified as Dr. Muzammil and Aadil Rather, were taken into custody during that operation.
Security Measures and Ongoing Investigation
Agencies are working to uncover the motive behind the explosion and identify everyone involved. The Rapid Action Force has been deployed near the Red Fort, where a Hyundai i20 car exploded around 7 pm on Monday evening. The investigation continues as officials trace the sequence of events that led to the blast.
