Hours after a senior Congressman accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of attempting to sell India’s assets built over the last 70 years through the recently launched National Monetization Pipeline (NMP), Union Minister Smriti Irani launched a blistering attack on the Gandhi scion, questioning whether the government-controlled by her mother Sonia Gandhi had the “power” to “sell” the country.
Smriti Irani, a Union minister, said Congressman Rahul Gandhi, who had earlier targeted the government at a press conference, is “upset” that India will make Rs 6 lakh crore and is attempting to tarnish the Centre’s image for working to fill state coffers transparently while keeping them safe from the opposition party’s “robbers.”
