India witnessed less than 30,000 infections on July 27

The Union Health Ministry and Family Welfare report stated that India has registered less than 30,000 fresh infections of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

The Union Health Ministry and Family Welfare report stated that India has registered less than 30,000 fresh infections of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. Earlier, on March 16, India recorded less than 30k infections in one day. The Health ministry’s data showed that yesterday 29,689 fresh infections have been registered in the last 24 hours.

An official report suggests that the country’s active caseload currently stands at  3,98,100. . The fall of active caseload below 4 lakh is also after 124 days. The daily positivity rate stood at 1.73 per cent. 415 fatalities have been reported during the last 24 hours. 43, 363 people have been discharged from the hospital. The country’s fatality and recovery tally now stand at  4,21,382 and  3,06,21,469 respectively.

As many as 66 lakh doses of vaccines against Covid-19 were administered during the day which upped the cumulative count of inoculation to 44.19 crores as part of the national vaccination drive, the health ministry said.

In an earlier update, the ministry had said over 14 lakh beneficiaries in the age group 18-44 years across states/UTs have received their first dose and more than 65 lakh have received their second dose since the start of the third phase of the vaccination drive.
