The Opposition protested to oppose raids on dainik bhaskar group.

On Thursday , the Income Tax Department conducted raids at offices of one of the largest newspaper groups in the country , Dainik Bhaskar. 

Raids were underway at several offices of the group across the country. Among the properties raided included Dainik Bhaskar group MD Sudhir Agrawal house. 

Sources said that raids are being conducted in Delhi , Rajasthan, Gujarat , Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. 

Congress leader and former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Digvijaya Singh tweeted that tax officials “are present” at half-a-dozen premises of the group, including at its office at press complex in Bhopal. 

Another Congress leader , Jairam Ramesh said Dainik Bhaskar was paying the price for exposing through its reporting the Modi regime’s monumental mismanagement of the Covid pandemic.
