Surendra Singh, a BJP MLA from Ballia, claimed here on Saturday that India could not be called a Hindu Rashtra at the time of independence because of the governance of “coward” Jawaharlal Nehru. Singh claimed that if Nehru had not been prime minister, India would have been designated a Hindu nation. This is also because of the Congress’ “dirty mindset.”
