The Center has agreed to cut the burden on electric vehicle makers, by raising subsidies on two-wheelers, with the aim of speeding up the adoption and production of electronic cars in India. The incentives for electrical double wheels have been raised by Rs15,000 for a kWh, to Rs5,000 per kWh from the previous subsidy level, according to a notice released by the Department of Heavy Industries on Friday.
This would aid potential customers who opt to buy two-wheel electric vehicles in India. Ather Energy, one of India’s fastest-growing manufacturers of electric two-wheelers, was one of the first to give its consumers incentive by cutting its 450X electric scooter pricing.
